We monitored the run of sockeye and coho while also keeping track of other species such as chum, pink and dolly varden trout. Constantly encountering grizzly bears, I was trained to carry both lethal and non lethal bear deterrents and use them effectively to create a safe working environment for my field partners. Also gained experience in other wildlife and stream surveys.
