I am interested in a range of issues of relevance to educational leadership and management, particularly around school effectiveness, leadership and management practices, practitioners’ work, and institutional development and innovation. My experience as an academic, teacher, school leader, and consultant has cemented my interest in work that involves curriculum design, professional learning, performance management systems, innovative solutions for teaching and learning, and models that support professional learning, technology integration, as well as organizational change and development I aspire to further my career within these interests, particularly in establishing school performance management systems, inclusive policy development practices, leadership emergence, professional learning communities (PLCs), and innovation in education and organisations.In my current academic role, at the University of Southampton, my teaching is around modules in Educational Leadership and Management, Adult Learning, Innovation in Education, Researching Learning, and Digital Practices in Education and Learning. Concerning my research activities, I am particularly interested in a range of issues of relevance to programme and curriculum design and delivery, educational leadership, and practitioners’ work, including job satisfaction, work engagement and collaboration, educational change; practitioner and institutional development; professional learning communities, and leadership emergence.
