Worked in this role during two distinct summer periods: June-August 2023 and June-August 2024.Responsibilities included:Covering the front reception desk (phone, email, and in-person inquiries, mail distribution, payment processing, student requests).Filing and digitizing student documents and maintaining student records.Assisting with the scholarship and awards application process.

Organized and called all meetings of the students’ council and students’ society.Ensured smooth running of the students’ society daily operations by making important decisions relating to the MCSS and students, and through updating and upholding the students and bylaws.Oversaw and supported the operations and duties of the executive members of the students’ society through frequent communication.Pursued opportunities for the growth and well-being of the MCSS.Actively participated in business operations of the MCSS by attending meetings and analyzing profits to support long-term sustainability.

Advised and empowered old and new student clubs on campus.Managed all the MCSS social media accounts and post about MCSS events, services or important information.Oversaw social media advertisement and engagement for the MCSS restaurant.

Developed and maintained connections with residents through monthly programming that support the social and educational needs of students.Provided peer support and referrals for students facing personal, social, or academic difficulties.Served as an accessible resource to students in residence and respond in the event of an emergency.Regularly checked and returned necessary communications with Residence Life staff through meetings, duty logs and written updates.

Organized residence-wide social activities and events with a team of other facilitators.Created posts to communicate with residences through social media on various topics including residence events and important information.

Answered questions of and navigated students, staff and guests on any matters regarding McGill's student services and campus.
