    Advisor: Prof. JoAnne Stubbe• Collaborated with 10+ scientists from 4 institutes on 2 projects resulting in 4 papers (3 first-authored papers).• Optimized purification strategy and developed activity assay (in vitro and in vivo) for human ribonucleotide reductase (RNR), which is an important target of anticancer therapy.• Established the correlation between the interconversions of different human RNR quaternary structures and the corresponding activity changes, using a combined study of SAXS, cryo-EM and activity assay.• Discovered the key players for human RNR cofactor assembly, in collaboration with NIH.• Uncovered the key role of evolutionary conserved Dre2-Tah18 complex in the cofactor assembly of yeast RNR, shedding light on the mechanism of human RNR cluster assembly.• Revealed the mechanism of manganese (Mn) cytotoxicity on yeast RNR, providing a new strategy for human RNR inhibitor development.
