About Henry Lihn
My passion lies in building and leading teams for seed stage and Series A startups within the tech space. I am the founder of BetterWorld.Prior to founding BetterWorld, I have worked in partnership with some of the top venture firms (Metaprop, Boldstart, Camber, Sequoia, Lerer, etc) on their portfolio companies in an advisor to CRO capacity.I've specialized in coaching and assembling sales teams and, as an entrepreneur, have taken startups from inception to profitability through fundraising rounds to exit (I have taken a meaningful role in five exits, as CRO or founder). These experiences gave me invaluable insights into the intricacies of building and selling businesses. Additionally, my involvement in mergers and acquisitions, as Head of M&A for HPS, offered me a unique perspective on the buying process from the other side.I served as the Head of Mergers and Acquisitions for Heartland Payment Systems, helping to acquire two early-stage companies and creatively financing another. I was also the Vice President of Sales at SinglePlatform, I led our sales team through the company's initial financing rounds, culminating in its $100 million sale to Constant Contact. This experience built on my earlier success founding and selling Gin Lane Media, a digital marketing agency serving high-profile clients like Stella McCartney and Adidas.Work aside, I'm deeply committed to charitable and development projects worldwide, including initiatives in the Dominican Republic, South Africa, Haiti, and Uganda, leveraging my skills for global good. I also host the BetterWorld Podcast, an exploration of people doing really good things for the planet.
