Eligibility Technician
CurrentAs an Eligibility Technician, my tasks involve reviewing applications with clients that are applying for theenergy assistance program. I asses the client's application to ensure that they meet the criteria under thehousehold's monthly guidelines and poverty and ensure eligibility assistance under the CSD (CommunityServices and Development). I verified current proof of Household income such as government aidedstatement-TANF/Cal-Fresh Passport to services, Social Security, Unemployment, Veterans, Disability EDDSDI. I ensure that clients with gross wages provide all paystubs received in the last 30 days and that thereare not discrepancies with their year-to-date gross wages amount. For clients that are self-employed, Iverified that current income tax information such as forms Schedule C and Schedule 1 are accurate.My tasks also involve reaching out to clients by phone and email after reviewing the application to correctany discrepancies found in the process of completing and approving a client for energy assistance.Conduct detailed audits on client's gross income to obtain an accurate energy burden for the client'shousehold. I also ensure that the client provides all pages of their utility bill they have received in thepast 30 days ensuring that they have a minimum of 22 days billing cycle. Once a client's applicationis complete, I Inform clients through telephone calls, emails, and mailed letters of their approval ordenial. Send daily reports to management of processed applications with the benefit amounts and allocated program funding.
