As the Digital Marketing Specialist at Sealegs, my role is plan, co-ordinate, design, execute and report on all marketing channels used by the business, and to search for new channels that fit the brand.I manage all social media accounts, as well as the website and associated applications (zapier, jotform, zendesk etc). I am responsible for all artwork for advertising, as well as all other marketing collatoral such as brochures and event branding. I am also responsible for the creation, editing and use of product images and video. My role also includes curation of the channels through which we communicate with our customers and stakeholders, whether it's through EDMs outward, or communications inward for sales and service enquiries.My role is constantly expanding as Sealegs explores further avenues to market its products, with my ability to quickly learn and apply new skills crucial to the agility of the company's marketing and digital presence.

My role at Sealegs has varied over time with the needs of the business, but my recurring responsibilities are as follows:Event organisation: We often hold promotional events, attend boat shows as exhibitors and hold conferences for our international affiliates. I am responsible for the planning and successful execution of these events. I have organised our stand at the Hutchwilco Boat Show and Auckland on Water Boat Show, as well as organised the Onetangi Beach Races.Digital Design: I am responsible for the creation of all Sealegs advertisements, both print and digital. I am also responsible for organising and creating and editing all raw material needed for these, most important photographs of our craft. Additionally, I am also responsible for Sealegs range of brochures. Also falling under this umbrella is the design, SEO and maintenance of the Sealegs websites.Sales Coordination: I am responsible for responding to new leads coming into Sealegs through our website and ensuring that these leads are presented to the correct party or have their needs met by one of our sales staff.IT Coordination: I am the contact point for all IT related projects with our IT partners. This includes system issues, user queries and data and server migrations to do with our CRM and data servers. While not responsible for the IT work itself, I am a key part of these projects as the Sealegs representative.This is not an exhaustive list, but demonstrates the breadth of tasks I am given responsibility for.

In my role at ASB I managed workflow for my team of 6, while collaborating with the other seniors to ensure that the wider team's processing goals were met on a day-to-day basis. I also provided advice based on my expertise on subject matter, namely KiwiSaver investments.Apart from my daily tasks, I was also regularly called upon to lead and participate in project work. In the last 12 months of my role I was a key contributor in:- Annual tax attribution: This process is the annual payment of tax and tax refunds to all KiwiSaver (and other investment) products. It involves critical communication with stakeholders, organisation of technical and other support as well as the running of the process itself. - New transfer tracking functionality testing: Recently our tracking system for KiwiSaver to KiwiSaver transfers has received an overhaul. I was involved in this process from the beginning, where I consulted on the business requirements for the system itself, through to the final stages of User Acceptance Testing and implementation (including writing user instruction documents). - Various Process Improvement projects: I have participated in the inception and implementation of various process improvement initiatives to create efficiencies with respect to both processing time and risk reduction. One initiative that I designed is projected to save 540 hours (or 67.5 days) of processing time over the next 12 months, without increasing the risk profile of the process.

As a full time client services consultant I was responsible for the processing of transfers between KiwiSaver providers. I also created the role of transfer enquiries processor, who became the sole processor for transfer exceptions - that is transfers that required more in depth knowledge and information to proceed. I volunteered for this role, and acted as the lead transfer enquiries processor until my eventual promotion to senior.
