Serve on the UMass Board of Trustees, attends to the Board's fiduciary and policy related responsibilities; for the Commonwealth of MA's only Public University System. This encompasses the UMass system's 5 Campuses:UMass Dartmouth Campus and UMass Law SchoolUMass Medical SchoolUMass BostonUMass LowellUMass Amherst- the System's Flagship campus

Appointed by the Governor for a 5year termThe Building Authority is responsible for the construction of capital assets on all UMass 5 campuses. i.e. dormitories, dinning facilities, classroom buildings, research facilities, deferred maintenance, etc..

Camp Atwater is a summer, overnight, youth development camp experience. located in N. Brookfield, MA., Camp Atwater is on the National Register of Historic Places, founded in 1921; it is the oldest African American owned and operated camp in the US; Accredited by ACA. Children who attend come from several different states, cities, and countries. In the off season we operate a rental business for conferences,retreats, meetings, weddings and receptions. Leads a large human service agency that offers youth development, adult workforce skills training,senior servicess, etc. Further, the agency engages in public policy advocacy to advance education, economic development, and social development of neigborhoods and communities.
