I am responsible for installation and maintenance of electrical works on all types of property throughout the Chatsworth House estate. This includes replacement of outmoded circuitry with properly specified parts, and the installation of new circuitry in modern properties, both domestic and industrial.In this job, I am able to build practical knowledge that ties into the coursework I am studying at Stockport College, where I expect to achieve NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Technology in 2014.On-the-job qualifications include:• Certificate of Competence: Radio Detection C.A.T. 3+ Locator; • Certificate of Competence: Radio Detection Signal Generator• Certificate of Training: Mobile Access Towers• Certificate of Training: Operator of Mobile Boom & Static Boom• Certificate of Training: Safe Use & Inspection of Safety Harness• Certificate of Training: Asbestos Awareness• Fire Team Training (including Emergency Response; Chemistry & Science of Fire; Extinguishers; Dynamic Risk Assessment; Firefighting Techniques; Firefighting - Practical)

I began to learn practical skills in electrical installation, and was also responsible for safety testing of electrical equipment.
