I founded Alexander, Aronson, Finning, & Co., P.C. after six years at Arthur Anderson & Co. and three years as the CFO of a manufacturing company. In addition to audits, my particular expertise includes business valuations and accounting forensics, having appeared as an expert witness for both. I am frequently involved in succession and transition planning, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and trustee services. My clients are primarily closely held businesses. I also serve as financial advisor to high net worth families.In addition, I am a former member of the Board of Directors of Boston Private Financial Holdings Corp., a publicly traded company (Nasdaq; BPFH) and its wholly owned subsidiary, Boston Private Bank and Trust Co. I have served in leadership positions on several of the holding company and banks' committees. I am also a former chair of the Audit Committee of the Worcester Art Museum Board of Trustees. I am a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and was awarded the Institute's Certificate of Director Education. Other memberships include the Alumni Board of the School of Management at Boston University and the advisory committee of Northeastern University Graduate School of Professional Accounting.
