In 2019 it achieved 2 BUSD net sales (57% in civil and 43% in military applications) with >9,000 employees in 16 countries.By end of 2019 RUAG has been unbundled into two separate companies: RUAG International concentrating on the Aerospace market, thriving for privatization and RUAG Switzerland focusing on the Swiss armed forces, still owned by the Swiss Confederation.From 2016 to 2019 the CIO was accountable for the IT of the entire Group and reported to the CEO. RUAG IT mission is to provide competitive advantage to the Business with best-fit digital solutions and ICT services global, secure and efficient. RUAG IT employed 220 professionals, located in Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Austria, USA and Australia. RUAG IT has been successfully unbundled into two separate IT organizations to enable the disruptive Business strategy. As a consequence also the CIO role has been redefined.

ABB Low Voltage Products Division manufactures products and systems to protect people, installations and electronic equipment from electrical overload, and to automate building's electrical installations and security and data communication networks. In 2015 the Division generated 7.5 BUSD in revenues. It employed 30,000 people and had operations in 35 countries and Sales in approximately 100 countries. The Division was comprised of six Business Units. In 2015 the Division CIO was accountable for 210 people worldwide. The role reported to the SVP Head of Operations. In addition, it functionally reported to the ABB Group CIO. Division IT has global responsibility to support the Business strategy with efficient solutions: CRM, eBusiness, Configurator, Pricing Optimization, Quotation Mgmt, Order Mgmt, Mobile App, Data & Content Mgmt, ERP, APO, S&OP, WMS, MES, PLM, CAD.
