R&D Project Lead / Consultant
Responsible for a proposed architecture design of Clinical Data Hub, a cross-functional initiative within R&D. The project discovers the current state and the future requirements of the R&D ecosystem of data, technology and analytics to enable a modernized data-driven architecture.The Cloud-based Clinical Data Hub architecture features improve the core Data Management capabilities, develop common data acquisition/ingestion ETL process, scale storage and compute independently in the data hub, aggregate and inventory Clinical Data Assets (RAVE EDC, MRI Imaging, Lab data, eCOA, and EHR patient data), enhance data cleansing and data mapping to CDISC standard STDM and ADaM formats with MDM, Data Governance, utilize Data Visualization tool (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, Qlik, Tableau, Python) to improve Data Review (outliers detection, data trends and patient profiles), downstream analytics report for medical reviews and register R&D data in Enterprise Data Catalog, and deliver an advanced Analytic Capability to R&D.Participated in Agile Scrum team to design Microservices based and Event-driven Architecture to scale data and application services in AWS Cloud environments. Integrated Private and Public Cloud with data pipelines in SSL encrypted VPN, authentication and authorization used Active Directory based SSO, VPC, IAM Cloud Security. Cloud Technology Infrastructure included API Gateway, Lambda, EC2, S3 and Event Bridge. Technology stack is designed with Java Spring Boot Restful API, NodeJS and Angular, Oracle SQL, Redis and MongoDB NoSQL databases. The new deployment used Jenkins to publish app images to Docker containers and Kubernetes to orchestrate CI/CD pipeline.
