As a personal test -- do you really understand the difference between APR and APY or an ARM? Most people do not and it bites into the family budget. Topics like compound interest, ROI, or even Unit Pricing, etc are paramount to daily personal decisions. No product sales - understanding financial literacy is critical to every purchase, investment, donation, tax preparation, and other decisions. Developed presentations for a corporation concerning Title 1 of the American Disabilities Act (ADA) from the corporate and job applicant/employee views. Each presentation was complete with charts and associated narrative for employee training to ensure complete compliance with the ADA.

Manage residential rental properties; advertise vacancies, show properties, review and approve tenant applicants. Prepare and negotiate leases; collect rents; enforce terms of the lease. Provide customer service to the tenants, resolving any issues or complaints. Coordinate properties’ maintenance, manage contractor requirements for repairs as required, and routinely inspect the properties for adherence to tenant maintenance and damages. Maintain all financial records including timely payment of mortgages, taxes and insurance. For those properties consigned to commercial property managers, coordinate and approve major expenses and have continued routine coordination to ensure tenants are properly served and the properties are well maintained.

Volunteer support to veteran programs and activities in the greater Huntsville, AL, area. Have provided assistance to the Stand Down Together Huntsville (SDTH) efforts on half of the homeless veterans. SDTH has special programs during the year which has included providing weekend accommodations in conjunction with church groups and others for feeding and issuing clothing & bedding.Conducted veteran benefit presentation at the local Senior Center and advised attendees sources for the many Federal and State benefits available.Participate with the Veterans' Advisory Board (VAB) conducted by the Birmingham Veteran Health Administration to form an outreach effort for veterans in the north Alabama region.Advise and assist military veterans with their job search; refer veterans to local support groups such as DAV, Still Serving Veterans (SSV), and the Women Veterans of America Chapter #50.
