I am the founder of Peninsula Technical Sales, an independent sales manufacturer’s representative firm. I founded the company thirty-five years ago and I am as excited about my work today as when I began.So what is my story? After a stint in the navy as a Communications officer, I turned my energy toward completing my education as an engineer ,obtaining a Ph.D. from Stanford with a concentration on semiconductor physics and solid state electronics. I worked as a design development engineer and loved the challenge of new designs and the satisfaction of successful completion and application of my work. But, I discovered I really loved networking with many professional. I decided to integrate them and use my honed skills in engineering to work with the manufacturers of given products and the needs of design firms to use a new product in a system they were developing. I bring vast experience of engineering knowledge and applications with a talent for understanding the customer and his/her needs. I bridge the gap between the engineer who needs specific technical performance for an application being designed and a manufacturer that may need to adopt a product for this very specific use.Over the years, I have built a reputation of honesty, resourcefulness, intellectual perspicacity and just plain getting things done. I do have other ardent avocations: Running is one. What a personal accomplishment to train and finish a marathon. Let me tell you a little story. I injured by foot just a couple of weeks before a marathon. I sought medical advice and the verdict was don't run. But my heart was in the race. I did research, understood the physics and mechanics of running. I taped the foot , ran a little more each day. I ran and finished the marathon and healed the injury.That is how I do business. I am creative but do research. I am innovative but know the parameters within which I am working, and always, always I am communication with others.
