The model also took the specific country's reserves into account and other means of measuring a country's economic strength, all resulting in the country's government ability to service it's debt, which enabled us to much better assess the safety of our governments debt investments.

Building further on my expertise in the field of alternative asset classes, I was involved in developing alternative investment funds.I did some research in the field of investing in volatility and volatility related products, but shortly after I started my job the Lehman crash occurred and everything that followed. The market for volatility dried up completely.We then turned our focus to commodities, an asset class that still looked to be interesting by that time, because of the idea of growing populations and limited resources.

I was involved in the creative processes of reinventing asset - liability management concepts, providing for capital guarantees and individualised pension schemes. This resulted in the construction of a VBA-Excel based ALM model that was able to combine individual as well as collective pension scheme concepts and calculate the results in terms of pension participants' benefits.Secondly I conducted research with my team members about alternative investments, especially Life Settlements.
