Job Scope • Troubleshooting and Repairo performs the first layer of troubleshooting when something goes wrong with school technology. o Answers help desk calls and discusses the problem with end user. o Offer solutions that the end user can complete or do a remote connection to perform the repair, if possible. o May visit staff member to either solve the problem or deliver a replacement device. o Sometimes, will seek the help of relevant IT team or a vendor to complete the repair.o Maintain daily performance of computer systems.o Install, modify and repair computer hardware and software.o Maintain all IT related assets, i.e. projectors, printers, iPads, smartboards, etc.• Network Supporto Perform much of the basic networking installation and repair on the network while reporting to the network engineer. Install switches and routers, route and terminate network cableo Verify network ports installation and troubleshoot or test faulty connections.o Work with the network administrator to distribute and maintain network access passwordso Assist in training new staff members about proper network use.o Establishes network specifications by conferring with team, analyzing workflow, access , information and security requirements.o Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues availability, utilization, throughput and latency.o Deploying defined network policies and procedures.o Maintain network performance thru network monitoring and analysis.o Troubleshooting network problem.o Maintain network documentation, created and published by Network Engineer (SSS)
