Title of Palestine book currently Gideon and the White Paper. Gideon, from the Bible, is the name given to a British Officer who sees himself as a defender of Greater Israel. The White Paper an expression of British policy which offered hope for two peoples living on the same land.In the mind's eye is a third book about Ethiopia in the last days of the Ethiopian dynasty and Emperor Haile Selassie. Inspiration was the discovery that one of my employees while I was serving in the Peace Corps in Ethiopia was from a royal family caught in the maelstrom.
