My vision, as a Finance director is that an accounting function should strive towards efficient automation. Accounting is a mean to achieve the correct and legal basis of data to optimize the value chain and make the right strategic and commercial decisions. I approach my role as Finance director from a very commercial perspective. This is the backbone of everything I do. Together with my holistic and people-centric view, I succeed in getting individuals to perform optimally towards the strategy and our common goals. I utilize all kinds of data, getting the basis for making the right decisions in relation to the market trends. If we do not strongly consider digitalization, value chain, and process optimization, we do not have the profit to respond to the data we have at our disposal. Hence it is very much about optimization of resources. Business partners are pivotal to validate data and commercial decisions in the organization. Without this collaboration, there is a considerable risk that it does not match the reality. I always strive to have a highly empathetic approach to everybody in an organization to translate financial data and terms into their language. I am often described as a person who is a vital decision maker based on data. I have a high level of positive energy, no matter how difficult things may be. Instead of shortcuts, I focus on finding solutions through teamwork and collaboration. I aim to utilize people's different skills and strengths to get the optimal input and subsequent solution.
