This includes a self-service portal for registration, user and telephone number management, automatic provisioning and billing services. Through this system, the automotive industry is able to reconstruct the complete material flow. IMDS is one of the largest B2B portals. This portal connects now more than 100.000 companies.

• Responsible of one of EDS’ largest application development projects: 400 Mio$• Replacement of Germany’s text based Videotex system BTX (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Videotex) with a new interactive multimedia system, designed to handle 20 Mio users.• This solution includes a multimedia authoring system with predefined objects like auctions, chatting, email, bulletin boards, and a communication layer based on CORBA, internet browser, payment systems and others.• I developed, installed and run the first internet infrastructure in EDS. Those new on the edge infrastructure provide customers services like internet access, email access and web-hosting services. This was the basis of hundreds later on following EDS solutions.

• Technology lead for EDS’ business with GM’ European Technical Development Center (TDC).• Technology leads to a number of strategic projects and subsequent growth of the business with the client.o Design of a new product description system and consolidation of three different legacy systems into that new solution• Introduction of a standard application development method (SLC: System Life Cycle) for all European application development teams.

The system is able to estimate costs and weight of a specified car also in the case the car is still in construction phase. It enables the development center to optimize production cost during the engineering phase of a new carline or facelifts. The implementation of that solution required the integration of all major OEM systems. E.g. BOM, material databases, purchasing system, logistics and production control systems.• Automotive Service interval control system: development of a simulation and data evaluation application, which enables the automotive engineers to adjust the service control display, based on driving behavior data.
