Production Manager
Current1. Plan and draw up a production schedule(s).2. Decide on and order the resources that are required and ensure stock levels remain adequate.3. Select equipment and take responsibility for its maintenance.4. Oversee and manage the quality standards for production.5. Ensure that production will be cost effective by estimating costs and liaise with the Operations Manager to ensure that it remains within budget.6. Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed.7. Monitor productivity rates and product standards and implement quality control programmes.8. Organise the repair of any damaged equipment.9. Liaise with different departments within the company and external parties, e.g. suppliers.10. Ensure that health and safety guidelines are always followed.11. Ensure customer orders are completed on time and to budget and that quality standards and targets are met.12. Work with Operations Manager to implement the company's policies and goals.13. Collate and analyse data, putting together production reports14. Ensure all operations adhere to the relevant legislation, guidelines, Health & Safety, SOP’s and ISO requirements.15. Human Resources Management• Manages direct reporting employees, namely Production Clerk, Production Supervisor, Production Technician, Welders, Fabricators and Material Handlers.• Motivation and training of reporting employees, including regular performance management.• Review employee performance and identify training needs.
