The mission of PAWS NY is to preserve, support, and nurture the human-animal bond for New York City’s most vulnerable residents. Our programs help keep pets in their homes while protecting and promoting the bond that is so physically and psychologically valuable to our clients. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for New Yorkers and their pets, and we do this by providing support with the following: daily pet care (dog walking, cat care, etc.), financial support for veterinary care, distribution of pet food and supplies through our Pet Pantry, and foster care for pets when their guardians are facing a medical crisis or other life-threatening situation.

The Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN) promotes an efficient, viable, and inclusive nonprofit sector that supports the growth, learning, and development of young professionals. We engage and support future nonprofit and community leaders through professional development, networking and social opportunities designed for young people involved in the nonprofit community.

I was responsible for managing a portfolio of major donors, working to secure new gifts and increase current levels of giving. I was also responsible for meeting annual departmental revenue goals and implementing a plan for development and growth of both a personal portfolio and for the overall Major Gifts Department.

As a graduate school team, we advised the Foundation on how to re-align their giving priorities and strengthen their impact. We conducted cross-market gap analysis and identified trends in select communities in which the Foundation gives, and then created business plans which provided recommendations on how to maximize the impact for each community.

Wrote grant proposals to raise money for substance abuse conferences.

Conducted research and analysis in connection with trials of complex securities fraud cases, drafted legal memoranda, and assisted in the development of litigation strategy and hearing preparation.
