Dealentra is a software development and consulting company specializing in large-scale mobile and cloud based solutions. YoBelly users take a quick food survey and are classified into one of sixteen animal avatar groups, like bears, lions, gazelle’s and the like. Using millions of menu items, YoBelly creates a database of master menu profiles across over sixty cuisine types. Consumers with food allergies or diet restrictions get dish recommendations that meet their needs that are recommended by people with similar taste profiles. YoBelly has group-dining features that help select restaurants that maximize the dinning pleasure of all guests by taking each of their taste profiles into considerations against the known master database of dishes found in each establishment. It even considers their GPS location, choosing restaurants that are the most convenient for all parties. We developed a multi-platform, mobile, desktop (Mac and Windows) and portal, solution that managed data files and collaboration content for millions of users. Our client solutions were written in Objective-C, Java and C++. Our server technology was based on a proprietary architecture that leveraged Terracotta and Ehcache to create a highly saleable, resilient, and low latency infrastructure capable of supporting tens of millions of concurrent users. We produced both a local Office Suite Product and a Cloud based subscription service for collaboration, data syncing and online data management. I managed over 50 Engineers across three countries.

• As Director of Architecture and Systems Evolution, was responsible for migration of the Lexis-Nexis solution from a hyper-channeled mainframe environment to a Sun mini-computer environment. Used CORBA and Distributed Computing Environment (DCE) to convert millions of lines of Assembler code into a modernized “C” code environment. During the conversion, learned and applied many techniques crucial in mainframe replacement projects. Was successful in off-loading many functions from the mainframe changing the course of Lexis-Nexis from a mainframe only environment to a mixed hardware environment allowing the company to take vital functions from the mainframes savings tens of millions in hardware and software costs
