As a profesor of the Technology MBA subject at Zigurat Innovation and Technology Business School Barcelona, I teach one of the core modules for the Global Masters in Digital Business degree (Global MBA Digital Business) to international students. With a focus on practical solutions for different industries internationally I am committed to helping students develop practical skills and knowledge that they can apply in their future careers in the digital business world.

As the (Chief Information and Innovation Officer) CIO, Innovation and HR Executive my overall responsibility was to ensure that our organization's information technology, innovation, and human resources strategies are aligned and working together to drive continuous growth and improvement.The differentiation was a result of acquiring the right talent, implementing digital transformation initiatives, and driving innovation across the organization. This involved collaborating with other leaders and stakeholders, including board members to understand the organization's strategic goals and objectives, and developing and executing plans to achieve them.The outcome was a successful implementation of digital initiatives and modernised IT technology systems with the enablement of synergies in business processes and new operating models that enhanced the customer experience and made it easier for customers to engage. Ultimately improving efficiencies and driving innovation that directly impacted customer experience and satisfaction. The success has led to several achievements since 2020 that have taken the organization to new heights.

As the CIO of Bestmed, my primary responsibility was to create and manage an effective ICT strategy that supports the company's overall objectives and creates a competitive advantage for all stakeholders. This involved collaborating with other members of the executive team and the board to compile the business strategy and identify how technology can enable and support it.The outcome was a successful implementation of digital initiatives that enhanced the customer experience and made it easier for customers to engage with Bestmed, the process required a deep understanding of our customer needs and preferences, as well as an ability to identify and implement the technologies and tools that delivered the most value to the customers.A critical aspect of the role was to oversee the development and alignment of the processes to deliver outstanding customer service, including the automation by technology and services to ensure that they are available and accessible to customers in the most effective way possible. This was attained through a deep understanding of the holistic business processes required for a sustainable organisation.ACCOMPLISHMENTS• I effectively turned failed M&A audits into successes with an astute analytical approach. Commendations received span a broad timeline and include diverse industry sectors such as Waste Management, Software Development and Automotive.• I steered all aspects of the successful IT integration of acquired multinational organisations. This IT Architecture blueprint was successfully implemented in Hong Kong, Dubai and the UK.• I led a productive virtualisation rollout of the South Africa, Hong Kong, Dubai and Spain business IT Infrastructures; virtualising 98% of platforms with a significant annual cost-saving.• I successfully negotiated IT Support Services SLA’s with CEOs in the Middle East, Far East and the United Kingdom.
