Originally training in hotel and leisure management, I have 15 years customer facing experience in sales, training and education in the pharmaceutical industry. I specialised in Management of type 2 diabetes, Respiratory medicine, and Mental health in Primary and Secondary care. In 2020 I graduated with a 2:1 in Nutrition, Exercise and Health from The University of Plymouth. I have a breadth of life experience which has taken me to different countries and cultures, and brought me into contact with children and teenagers, people living with disabilities, adults and elderly. I am passionate about evidence based care and my first love is nutrition, however, my current job has allowed me to develop skills supporting people who have suffered grief, anxiety, and depression, addictions, and people coping and living with chronic and sometimes terminal illnesses. It has been a privilege to help to relieve some of the impact of social isolation during the pandemic and most recently be involved in the roll out of the vaccination program. My interests include social prescribing, public health, reducing social and health inequalities, nutrition, exercise and health.
