Cost Engineer
Current• Provides input and recommendations for cost engineering requirements relative to staffing, project timelines, materials, and resources.• Coordinates with Project Managers on the optimum method of protection for project record and data management and delivers recommendations on shift rotation, procedures, and schedules.• Assesses project requirements through stakeholders’ engagement and develops plans for resource allocation.• Performs in depth cost analysis and cost validations using internal and external tools.• Prepares statistical reports on usage and efficiency of projects for the leadership team.• Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement and cost savings.• Generates optimum unit labor rates by analyzing various cost factors such as work activities, production time, materials, and manpower requirements.• Develops job cost management execution plan and procedures.• Supports the review of the estimates, documents, and reports prepared by peers for quality control check by ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with scope of work.• Conducts research by compiling lessons learned from past projects and recommends improved workflows for future projects.• Work collaboratively with all areas to promote the importance of Safety, Health & Environment (HS&E)• Answers correspondence on special reference subjects.• Under direct supervision, interacts with professional/technical staff and clients to accomplish assigned objectives.• Can be designated according to specialized functions.• Requires limited exercise of judgment.• Receives guidance on new aspects of assignments.• Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor such as ongoing training and development and any other assignments, as and when required
