Hi!I'm an artist, entrepreneur, linguist, and teacher-scholar whose proclivity to language has driven all academic, personal, and professional pursuits. Over the past 20 years, passion for language has sustained my interest and excellence in the performing arts, linguistics, computer science, and education. Some highlights are- Completing a triple undergraduate major in Linguistics, Theatre, and German - Teaching English and American culture in the Fulbright Austria program in Graz, Austria- Finishing a three-year joint M.A. degree in Theoretical Linguistics in Austria and France- Obtaining a M.Ed. in World Language Curriculum and Instruction- Embarking on my doctoral studies in Foreign, Second, and Multilingual EducationMy teaching and learning career has afforded me the opportunity to live, study, and work in diverse systems of education at the primary, secondary, and collegiate level, underscoring divergent ways of thinking, knowing, and doing. My domestic and international experiences have been pivotal not only in the development of my plurilingual and pluricultural competence, but also a more objective, global perspective concerning assessment, instruction, and disparities in access to equitable education. As an entrepreneur, I help individuals and organizations seeking to improve intercultural communication cultivate plurilingual and pluricultural awareness so they can sustain diversity, equity, and inclusion practices, leverage language effectively in marketing and daily interactions, and capitalize on the benefits of global citizenship. I am the owner of Language Musings and Remote Tutoring Services. Additionally, I am the co-founder of Belcanto Voice and Music Studio.
