As a Research Scientist at AbCellera, I have been navigating from one team to another, in and out of the lab, to develop and extend our Ab discovery, characterization and engineering pipeline for both internal & external projects. I like to build from scratch and collaborate with scientists and bioinformaticians to add new capabilities to our therapeutic Ab discovery engine, until things are fully integrated to our current pipeline, automated when possible, and taught to new AbCellerites so I can move on to something different and do it all again! BUILD - INTEGRATE - REPEAT- January 2021 - present: Antibody engineering team - Developing & executing pipeline for various Ab engineering tasks including Ab humanization, reformatting, Fc-engineering, bispecific designs and in-silico immunogenicity prediction. - June 2019 - January 2021 : Antibody characterization team - Developing & Running in-vitro assays for Ab binding, kinetics, epitope binning and functional assays on Carterra and Octet platforms- April 2018 - June 2019 : Maternity leave - Working hard on so-called "new-human pipeline", taking from newborn to infant to toddler stage, by developing various capabilities such as feeding, seating-to-crawling-to-standing-to-walking, and most importantly sleeping-through-the-night-ish :-))- Feb 2016 - April 2018 : High-throughput sequencing team - Analysis of HTS pipeline results using Cytoscape & Collaboration with the bioinformatics team to develop internal tool for improvement, visualization and automation of HTS data analysis.

Member of the VRDE group - Variable Region Discovery and Engineering group ; my main role was to humanize potential therapeutic Abs, going from in-silico humanisation design to selection of suitable final therapeutic candidates meeting requirements of efficacy, stability and low immunogenicity.In the last 2 years I also undertaken an additional role as a lab steward and was involved in several HS&E campaigns.

Member of the molecular biology team, my role was to develop various antibody expression vectors and evaluate them in transient expression in mammalian cells. I also produced and purified several His-tag proteins on small-scale for immunization purposes and testing of antisera.
