Hesdy Lonwijk graduated with honours from the Dutch Film and Television Academy winning 'Best Graduation Film'​ of the year 2007. His film 'Color me Bad'​ has since been shown at international filmfestivals across the globe. In the same year his 2nd year short film 'Buutvrij'​ (Hide and seek) won the New Arrivals award at the International Filmfestival Rotterdam, while his graduation commercial for Red Bull earned him a nomination for best director at the Porsche David International Student Awards in Stuttgard.He has since moved to directing several commercials for clients such as T-Mobile, Martini, Beckers and the Dutch Heart Foundation. He also directed the television film Johnny Bingo which earned lead actor Kenneth Herdigein a 2011 nomination for best actor at the Beeld and Geluid Awards. Hesdy also created and directed several episodes for the popular television serial 'Feuten'​, an 8 episode drama set in a fraternity, which premiered in the winter of 2010.
