Hesham Sharaf was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of Qetaifan Projects in 2017, where he oversees the company’s daily operations and the development management of Qetaifan Island. Over the past 10 years he had worked for several prestigious government institutions in Qatar as a Real Estate Development & Investment Advisor/Director; namely, Amiri Diwan, Aspire Foundation, Katara Projects, Aspire Katara Investment, Barwa and Qatari Diar.Hesham, brings in over 20 years of a wide spectrum of experience from investment banking, management consultancy and real estate development, as he started his career in banking in the Arab Bank and Citigroup, and moved onto the real estate industry over 15 years ago; where he worked across all the real estate development value chain on some of the major real estate projects in the GCC region.Hesham has degrees in Political Economy and Economics from the American University in Cairo/ University of California LA; and has professional certificates in Real Estate Finance and Real Estate Development from the Real Estate School of Urban Land Institution, in CA, USA; with Executive Education Certificates in Real Estate Economics and Finance from London School of Economics, Project Management from Cambridge and Data Science in Real Estate from MIT. Hesham is a member of the CFA institute (Chartered Financial Analyst Institute), ULI Urban Land Institute), CIM ( Chartered Institute of Marketing) & LCI (Lean Construction Institute).
