 Supervise the corporate accounting team of 6, including A/P, A/R, Payroll and Staff Accountants closely to ensure the financial deadlines are met.  Propose, establish, distribute and monitor the accounting policies and procedures to make sure they are implemented properly across the team and the company-wise. Engage and carry out any process improvement initiatives as required. Maintain financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated and non-consolidated financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Statement of Cash Flows) on a timely basis. Develop and differentiate financial reporting models to meet internal management and external bankers and investors' requirement. Calculate covenant ratios properly and ensure them in line with financial obligations. Provide variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget) and trend analysis through charts and pivot tables to the President and the Board.  Assist with annual auditing process and income tax return preparation, covering G/L accounts reconciliation, capital assets continuity schedules, inventory adjustments, rental obligation schedule and management allocation etc. Post and review journal entries and prepare cost allocations for month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing process, including prepaids, accrued revenue, accrued liabilities and intercompany charges etc. Manage cash flow status on a daily basis. Prepare bank reconciliation and cash flow projection weekly. Monitor and coordinate A/R collection and A/P payment closely to maintain a good cash balance. Prepare GST/HST, WCB, EHT monthly, quarterly and annual return and remittance to the government. Maintain chart of accounts including setting up new accounts, cost centers, items and ensuring all accounts no longer in use are deactivated.

• Establish, develop and manage the vendors’ accounts and GST/HST accounts;• Review, analyze invoices and process daily, weekly and monthly cheque runs for accounts payables;• Prepare, code A/P vouchers properly and post into the G/L accounts;• Calculate payrolls and reconcile quarterly WSIB remittance, GST/HST returns;• Prepare bank reconciliation on monthly basis;• Issue bills for clients, review and reconcile aging A/R accounts and make collections;• Respond to the customers’ inquiries regarding billing items and balances;• Provide monthly A/R aging reports and make the analysis of clients’ payment pattern;• Perform and analyze monthly and annual expense reports to the manager for financial analysis;• Assist in preparation of financial reports, i.e. income statement and balance sheet;• Give suggestions on pricing strategy to the manager;• Train, assign and review staff on job duties, as well as the company's normal clerical work and policy;• Resolve work-related problems to ensure the seamless cooperation of different departments; • Respond to management inquiries on demand
