Brain Tumor Research Lab at the Upstate Medical University specializes on multiple approaches in targeting GBM (Glioblastoma Multiforme), an extremely aggressive brain tumor. My research focused on understanding the effects of high or low epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) expression in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) subjected to anti-EGFR monoclonal antibody, Erbitux. During the course of the research my responsibilities included- Planning, preparing and performing cell and molecular based assays, flow cytometry, genetic assays- Managing and maintaining Brain Tumor Research Lab tumor bank- Record keeping, critical data analysis utilizing multiple data analysis software (Sigmastat, Imagequant, Graphpad, Image J)- Writing scientific proposals- Maintaining work areas for sterile in vivo and in vitro experiments- Inventory management for the lab
