During my summer internship at Qualcomm I created a simulator to investigate new Bluetooth technology. Most of the program was in C but it was interfaced with Lua and I used Matlab to analyse the results. I produced detailed documentation of assumptions and methods so that the project could be extended or used for other applications.Since I was working on my own for the majority of the project I managed my time wisely and set myself appropriate, achievable deadlines.I successfully presented my working and findings in front of 30+ people before I left, utilising my ability to explain complicated subjects clearly.The team I produced the simulator for will continue to use it and were pleased with the results it produced.

Learned valuable skills in computer networking and cybersecurity on topics such as hardware hacking, penetration testing, and malware analysis. Within this position I had the opportunity to expand my knowledge of C++ by using an existing framework to create a secure app to view image files. I also explored Linux and various tools including Wireshark, IDA pro, netcat, nmap and metasploit.

The customers were my main priority. If I was in the middle of a task I stopped and greeted them with a smile, making sure to strike up a conversation about the products that they were buying. I was also responsible for managing the stock on the shop floor and the stockroom, ensuring there was enough out and that it was well presented. I also had the responsibility of preparing displays for the new release titles of the week, this involved paying close attention to detail and time management skills.
