Working as a Junior Data Scientist within the amazing AI Squad at Carsales. Using the breadth of skills I've learnt throughout my Data Graduate Program I am looking to bring insight and new developments to my role and the fields of machine learning, statistical analysis and especially generative AI!

The choice of running for Vice President came easily to me as I looked back at the amazing 2 years I'd had working with the Monash Actuarial Student Society. The society had not only been a home for me socially throughout my undergraduate degree, being a place of many great memories and friendships, but more so a place where I had grown greatly as an individual. In my final year of university, and coming out of a rough period for the club in 2020, I found myself realising the value of my 2 years of experience as a committee member of the club in both non-executive and executive roles. I happily received the role of Vice President, working alongside friend and brilliant leader Scott Xu as President. Together, along with our amazing 2021 committee, we lead the club out of the challenges of member engagement and recruitment. Luckily the club was able to return to in-person events and I was able to watch a new 'generation' of undergraduate students fall in love with the MASS community, the way I had 2 years prior. The vice president role was an invaluable learning experience for me. Learning to not only lead but mentor a group of individuals and pass on my knowledge was an experience I'd not had before. It solidified the importance of being patient, compassionate and driven as a leader and was a true first experience in this area (school prefect in hindsight was hardly a leadership experience). The role also gave me great opportunities in working outside my own organisation, having to directly liaise with Monash University bodies and other clubs to report our progress and organise events/collaborations. Finally, the role really built in me a sense of pride for what I had helped to create, the friends I have made and the person I've grown to become.I would like to personally thank all MASS members and particularly committee members from 2019-2021 for letting me be a part of the community and for making it the brilliant place it is!

After my experience as Sponsorship Director for MASS, I decided to join the Executive team of the committee alongside a wonderful leadership group in the position of Secretary. Throughout the role, I managed club relations with the governing university body including registration and constitutional requirements, took minutes in the regular meetings and organised emails for the general club account. The role gave me incredible insight into running and maintaining an organisation and set me up well for my next position of Vice President!

I was inducted as Sponsorship Director in May this year and continue to represent the student society today. I act as a liaison with our corporate sponsors and delegate relevant tasks to other members of our team. The position requires me to be proficient in networking, communication and teamwork and has been a rewarding experience thus far.
