The Global Kurdish Young Professionals Society is established to encourage and change the lives of Kurdish youth by providing personal and professional development opportunities. Global KYPS aims to bring to the forefront a more progressive, accomplished, and enlightened younger generation of Kurdish people who will be the representatives and leaders of their communities and who will contribute positively towards the wider society.

As a high impact leader, I transformed the faculty from bottom position to be the leading faculty in the university in terms of curriculum development, recruitment, student satisfaction, external engagement, research impact and league tables. The faculty consisted of over 2000 students, 95 academic staff and 83 admin. I established and set up the infrastructure for three new departments namely English Language, Mathematics and Sociology including jobs specs, advertising, interviewing, hiring, training and developing new staff. I set up new MSc and PhD programmes. First cohort completed PhD in 2020. I built an extensive network nationally and internationally and used it to bring best practices to Soran University. During my tenure Soran rose in the league tables to becoming the leading university in Kurdistan last 2 years. Operating as the Chair of the School Executive Team and a member of the Senior Management Team of the faculty, I contribute to the strategic development of the Faculty and University and the formulation and implementation of policies including HR, HS&E, maintenance of academic standards, complaints and the provision of an appropriate service to students in line with the University's medium and long term goals.
