Helene is a Partner at Marsh Law Firm and works to protect the rights of survivors of abuse. Helene works on a wide range of matters representing survivors of childhood sexual abuse, Title IX campus sexual abuse, harassment & retaliation. Helene has successfully litigated both civil and criminal trials. Prior to joining MLF, Helene was an associate at a prominent national plaintiffs’ civil litigation firm, where she litigated a broad range of personal injury and sexual abuse claims.Helene was a Special Victims Bureau Prosecutor and worked in the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office for nearly four years, where she prosecuted an extensive array of criminal matters including child abuse, sexual abuse, elder abuse and domestic violence. Helene was a member of the Animal Crimes Unit, and prosecuted crimes of severe torture and neglect perpetrated against animals. While at the DA’s office, Helene successfully litigated dozens of jury and bench trials.Helene is a Special Professor of Law at Hofstra Law School and serves as trial advocacy coach in Advanced Competition Skills for Hofstra's Trial Advocacy Association. She is the co-author of Hofstra's National Med-Legal Trial Competition fact pattern. Helene is a Certified Forensic Interviewer for both children and adults.Helene earned her J.D. from Hofstra Law. She was honored by the NYS Bar Association for earning State Championships at the National Trial Competitions in 2015 and 2016. In 2016, she was the recipient of the NYC Trial Lawyers Alliance Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy. While at Hofstra, Helene was President of the Trial Advocacy Association.
