About Michael Hewitt

I was The Assessment Foundation's first employee in 2009, supporting and training schools across England and Wales with the Incerts assessment system. My skills and experience have developed significantly since, in particular, my management skills (demonstrated by my completion my of the CMI's Level 5 Diploma in Management & Leadership, and subsequent achievement of Chartered Manager status). The organisation has grown substantially over this period, now turning over around £1 million and supporting over 1,000 schools. Business development has been a key part of my role: identifying areas that needed to be developed/expanded (from recruiting staff to building infrastructure like our Salesforce CRM system) and executing plans to ensure we could continue to grow. The role of cross-organisation Operations Manager was created for me in 2015.I became line-manager to staff across multiple departments including customer support, projects, finance, and our internal technical development.

The Assessment Foundation Oct 2009 - Aug 2011
I began as the organisation's first employee. This role was to support and training schools across England and Wales with the Incerts assessment system. Often, this involved listening to Head teachers' data tracking needs, and producing spreadsheets to save them time. The purpose was to enable school leaders to user their time attempting to improve pupils' learning, rather than calculating percentages etc.
