As VP of Sales and Marketing at BGM Metalworks my role was to increase market share through the expansion of services to existing clients and the development of new opportunities and markets.Through a website redesign we strengthened our brand with content and keywords which increased site traffic. We also researched and implemented a Google keywords strategy. Through the creation of a simple “request for quote” link we were able to increase our market share by over $30k in new sales in the first few months.Responsible for the selection, configuration and implementation of cloud based CRM software which enabled senior management to track quotes, manage leads, edit, update, and share information in real time, across all platforms. We created marketing and materials for connecting with our clients which established a consistent image and message across all media, from PowerPoint to email campaigns.

At OnServe, I was part of the team responsible for creating the program which helped our clients to make the most of their technology. We developed a unique approach to managed services which supported our clients and their technology investments. Consulted with potential clients to identify their particular needs and assembled customized video security systems. Developed and managed partnerships with resellers in the United States to grow market share. Mentored and guided junior sales staff. Represented company at regional trade shows in the Canadian and US market.

Assisted manufacturers in selecting the right air cylinders for their needs in both the fabrication of custom machinery, and for their manufacturing and production environments. Replaced competitors equipment with superior performing products to improve profitability.

Responsible for selling tooling and production work. Engaged with clients and engineering to bring parts from prototypes to production. Negotiated $2,000,000 annual production contract for stamping and assembly of parts for an international office products manufacturer.

Item Products Inc., now owned by Parker, produced Aluminum Extrusion for Industrial Automation. During this time I was responsible for the design and creation of airtight contamination "Glove" boxes for handling radioactive dust for AECL in Chalk River, and for the design of Linear Sleds created for the oscillation and testing of eye deflection for the Defence and Civil Institute of Environmental Medicine in Downsview, among other projects. Eventually I moved into my first technical sales role while in their employ.

Worked in offset pre-press department as apprentice. Was involved in everything from proof checker to cameraman, ad creator, and film operator using Opti-Copy film camera creating 96 and 124 page sections for presses from Alberta to Montreal. Achieved Journeyman status in 1993.
