In my role as Data Policy and Governance Manager, I am currently leading on the implementation of the Graduate Outcomes survey, surveying all graduates in the UK about their activities and perspectives 15 months after they finish their studies. This includes:*Leading as the subject matter expert on the graduate labour market and survey design and methodologies for HESA*Managing communications to diverse and complex stakeholder groups, including overseeing the governance process through a steering group*Overseeing internal colleagues to support project progress across the organisation, including complex legal and financial areas*Creating and reviewing detailed specifications, and taking up a key role in procurement processesI am also a key member of staff in the Data Policy and Governance team and work closely with the Head of Stakeholder Liaison to ensure the work of the team aligns with the agency strategy and meet our delivery plan. I provide input to the Head of Stakeholder Liaison on allocation of responsibilities to team members in the medium/long-term, develop and maintain the structured team training and development programme, and contribute to recruitment and induction activities. I also train, mentor and support Data Policy and Governance Analysts and allocate appropriate tasks to more junior colleagues.

As a senior member of the Data Policy and Governance team, I built on my previous role, taking a more strategic overview of policy developments and managing relationships with external stakeholders. I also supported and oversaw the activities of members of the team.

*Regular communication with senior colleagues in government, HE funding councils, universities and the wider HE sector in order to understand and advise on data requirements. *Analysis of policy to inform and support decision-making on both future developments and onward use of data. *Innovation in the gathering and analysis of requirements for information that could be met from HESA records; investigating options and contributing to the development of data specification proposals for onward consideration. Contributing to internal impact analysis of change options. *Organising and participating in events with colleagues across the HE sector.

*Overseeing employer events including meeting and greeting employers and student event attendance administration. *Creating and editing vacancy entries using an in-house database to publish them online in University of Bath Careers Service Website

*Telephoning University of Bath graduates to ask what they have done since graduation.  *Asking questions in a sensitive and understanding manner, dealing with responses and any questions with tact, and keeping an accurate record of the information given. *Additional ad-hoc tasks including coding responses

*Contributing to working groups reviewing data collections, including preparation of papers for working group meetings, meeting arrangements, agenda and minutes.*Consulting with stakeholders on proposals for change, including assisting in the preparation of consultation documentation and analysis of responses received *Preparation and checking of metadata to support HESA systems and processes*Drafting and reviewing of system specification; working with business users to define requirements and with developers in the hand-over of specifications *Support on ad-hoc strategic-level projects involving stakeholders throughout the HE sector
