Building a product or service is a complex undertaking. It requires engineering, marketing, communication, strategic and business skills. My strength lies in the combination of these skills to bring the puzzle together into a cohesive experience.

Extra Horizon is a regulatory compliant medical backend as a service. The technology was initially developed as part of Fibricheck, a software as a medical device. When I joined, the company made the decision to commercialise the technology into a separate product.Some highlights:- Led the effort to start doing formal product management for the Extra Horizon product.- Built a public documentation website so that external developers can start developing on the platform on their own. Next to the written documentation I also created several explainer videos to introduce developers to the platform.- Led the effort to refactor a core component of the platform that reduced technical debt and increased the stability and reliability of the deployments.- Refactored the terraform Infrastructure as Code so that the deployment time for a new environment was reduced from 1 day to 1 hour.- Wrote multiple blog posts on relevant medtech topics.

I joined the start-up Ticto in 2016 as the first backend engineer. Eventigrate is a start-up grown out of a student project. Together with two other students we created a web platform and mobile app that leveraged Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology. It enabled attendees at networking events to network more efficiently.This endeavor brought us to the Rice Business Plan Competition in Houston, USA and helped meappreciate all the different aspects of bringing an idea to the market.Technologies: JavaScript, Node.JS, Docker, Angular.JS, Ionic, Graph Databases

These lab sessions serve as an introduction to basic principles of communication technologies. Protocols and techniques at all layers of the OSI model are discussed. Today, TCP/IP is the most important network model for electronic communication. Hence, TCP/IP (techniques, protocols, applications, internet architecture) is studied in detail during these lab sessions.As a teaching assistant I was responsible for 3 student groups.
