Developed and populated data models for GraphQL APIs that fetch instances of product-contract violations. Member of the Chakra Chennubhotla Lab in the Computational and Systems Biology Department.The project regarded development of a computational image analysis pipeline for microscope images of colon tumors. The pipeline would accept microscope images and theoretically output a pathology report which would avoid discrepant diagnosis and alleviate pathologist workload.Operations included image preprocessing, image segmentation of nuclei, machine learning classifiers, and distributed computing with Apache Spark.The project never reached full maturation due to the inherent difficulty of machine learning with poor, sub-quality data.Skills acquired through the experience:Computer vision (scikit-image)Distributed computing (Apache Spark)Machine learning (Spark ML)

Member of the Graham Hatfull Lab in the Biological Sciences Department.The lab focused on bacteriophages (viruses) that infected bacteria similar to Tuberculosis for potential therapeutic implications.Personal efforts ranged from genome-clustering analyses to parameter optimization to creating applications that expedite similarity-analysis. Primary tools were Python and R.
