Creative Producer - American Express Business Class Season 2

Santa Monica, California, Us

I was half of the creative leadership, development, and production team for American Express Business's branded Documentary series Business Class. We worked very closely with the American Express team in developing a new approach for the second season of the show. The first season was created in the middle if the pandemic and was forced to shoot on a stage with a defined script. We were asked to bring the show back into the world and developed a concept that was based on the travelogue/foodie shows we love to watch, and focusing on small business owners around the world. To accomplish this, we built a working model and team that bridged both branded content and longer form documentary work. I managed the client communication, bidding every stage of the project, building the team, and over saw every aspect of production. I was integral in every stage of casting, story development, stylistic evolution, and post production, as well as personally producing 18 union shoot days across 9 cities and 4 continents. In the end, we took a genre that is often confined to short form content and delivered five 12-16 minute episodes that American Express was delighted with!

Functioned as interim EP while the lead EP was on leave, leading new business pitches and being the primary contact for new and existing clients. It was a fantastic development for me in the animation and post production track of my career. I would have continued working with Friends Electric if the work could have supported 2 EPs once!
