Profile bio

About Heydon Ferguson

My experience clearly demonstrates my dedication to my work and my team. My time with each organization has taught me valuable work experience. Starting with my employment with Texas Health Resources where I spent time in the emergency room rushing trauma patients from the ambulance to the exam rooms. The high pressure environment trained me to perform under extreme pressure, for every situation was truly life or death. The same can be said for my work with cancer patients and their families, learning compassion as I befriended the families in their darkest times. As for my more than four years with Essilor of America (Meridian Optical), I managed an entire inventory department in which my team and I implemented a new inventory tracking system and operational workflow. Through doing so, Meridian Optical's inventory became the best performing lens inventory in the nation. In addition to this, I oversaw all outsourced products domestic and international, assuring the outsourced work was processed efficiently and effectively by my team. I then oversaw the daily activities of Luxottica's Dallas distribution center. This included 32 employees across 3 shifts, utilizing SAP to track and manage the workflow of the entire warehouse. In this role, I implemented new employee productivity reports that tracked everyone's daily efficiency. In the first month of implementing and enforcing the new productivity standards, we saw a 31% increase in productivity from the team. This efficiency success paired with the positive morale shift I was able to create in the facility through my people first mentality, earned me a promotion to Production Supervisor in the manufacturing facility. The Director of the facility witnessed my management style, of which is based around, " The Team, The Team, The Team" cause a culture shift in a team that had struggled for years. I now supervise the production of the Luxottica Dallas RxO manufacturing facility and have brought with me my team first mentality and tenacious desire to better my team each day and be the very best at everything we do. I am a dedicated worker who knows what it takes to get the job done. Customer service is my specialty, healthcare work has prepared me to take care of everyone with a smile and big heart. Efficiency and accountability are my traits, learned from years of leading teams in manufacturing environments. My value to an organization is achieved through hard work, dedication and an ability to lead a team towards a clear and defined vision."The Team, The Team, The Team" - Bo Schembechler

Listed skills include Microsoft Excel, Customer Service, Inventory Management, Microsoft Office, and 6 others.
