I am a registered psychologist in the province of Ontario and I am the founder of Uprise Psychology & Wellness, a private practice based in Ottawa specialized in Mindfulness, Compassion-Based and Positive Psychology. I am also certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) and a Qualified Mindfulness Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT) Instructor. I work primarily with clients struggling with Eating Disorders and Body-Image concerns, as well as those struggling with Perinatal Mental-Health difficulties. I also have experience conducting psychological assessments and psychotherapy with people suffering from Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, Trauma-Related Disorders as well as low-self-esteem, relational and adjustment difficulties. I provide services in cognitive-behavioural therapy as well as other Third Wave interventions (e.g., Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Radically-Open Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (RO-DBT), and Compassion-Focused therapy (CFT)). My main objective within my clinical work is to help my clients develop the skills to achieve their objectives, to face adversity and to develop their full potential using evidence-based techniques.
