I founded and lead the Product Systems team at Slack. The team is a collection of product engineers and designers responsible for maintaining and scaling Slack's product design system, Slack Kit and the underlying accessibility of Slack’s interfaces

I worked with Slack's designers to create Slack Kit, Slack's product design language and UI framework. The system is a set of components, foundations, and infrastructure necessary for designing and building UI anywhere in Slack. It now serves as the interaction layer behind all Slack's desktop and web products.I led the Slack Kit engineering team and oversaw technical development of all new components and patterns.

Designed maps, developed maps, sold maps, helped grow a company.

An online game of telephone and doodling. Won a weekend hackathon and exploded into a game with over 2 million players. I designed it and helped develop it with some really bright folks.

First designer and front-end engineer at the company. Designed and built front-end applications to help people reduce their energy use. Had a fantastic time.

Design and engineering on special projects for DARPA and other acronym-shaped organizations in Washington, DC.

Early internet! Learned to code developing websites and CMS back-ends for our non-profit clients, including the ACLU, the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation, and the Endangered Species Coalition.
