I am an autodidact who builds things for the web. At the age of 15 I was given a "Learn HTML in a Weekend" book. By age 20 I had built an online community with 200K+ members, receiving over 7M pageviews/mo, and have since architected my own platform that has supported nearly half a million users across various community platforms around the world. Today I am the Co-Founder and CTO of Readocracy, an award-winning startup that is focused on changing our relationship to knowledge. My drive in this is strongly fuelled by my belief that the rate of growth and progress of a civilization is directly correlated to the breadth and distribution of knowledge and education, as well as, how that is valued within the society. Today's attention economy infrastructure is actively undermining this. We need an alternative to counteract it. We are building that alternative.I pride myself on my strong imagination and constantly seek opportunities to learn, grow, and exercise my creativity. I believe that life is, essentially, a world of Lego; start by understanding the pieces, and then you can build anything. In my spare time I am a street/fashion photographer, bread-maker, and cyclist.
