I've been a software developer in some form or another for almost twenty years. In terms of classical programming, I have experience with Python, Java, C, and C++, as well as HTML/CSS/Javascript, including 3D web development with three.js. I've done front-end and back-end web development, the latter primarily with Flask/SQL/Sockets. I currently work primarily on quantum software projects, and am adept at using numerical libraries like Numpy and Scipy, as well as Qutip. I have experience working with IBM's Qiskit, CQC's Pytket, as well as Rigetti's Forest/PyQuil and Xanadu's StrawberryFields and PennyLane. I've done some machine learning with TensorFlow as well.I have a deep and abiding interest in the philosophy and physics of quantum mechanics, both on the theoretical side and practical side. I've done a lot of work on software implementations of the representation theory of spin, on string diagrams, and simple models of wormholes!I run the Brooklyn Quantum Meetup, for anyone interested in quantum mechanics and quantum computing. In another life, I was a poet. I've written two novellas, dozens of short stories, and a great deal of poetry. I'm also a musician, primarily on the piano, although I'm pretty good at orchestration as well.
