Through each phase of my professional development (social worker, supervisor, educator, administrator, small business owner, and diversity, equity, and inclusion trainer and developer), the underlying principle has remained the same: helping all individuals get their place at the table, free from the barriers of discrimination and inequity. I have dedicated myself to developing others' understanding of the significant positive outcomes that an equitable society would render--socio-emotionally and financially. My efforts have helped individuals, companies, schools, and organizations develop specific diversity goals and inclusive practices that increased employee/student/individual morale, helped recruit and retain highly-qualified people of color to positions within their organization, and cultivate a culture of acceptance, tolerance, and inclusion.
