Final clinical internship of doctoral program. Ten weeks at AdventHealth Sports Medicine and Rehab in Winter Park, FL working with exclusively pediatric populations. Developed proficiency with documentation in the WellSky system, as well as evaluations and tests/measures specific to pediatrics, including Peabody Motor Development Scales and BOT-2 testing, developing and executing plans of care, and working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to maximize patient outcomes. Gained experience with varied pediatric diagnoses/deficits, including torticollis, plagiocephaly, ASD, developmental delay, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, Down Syndrome, hyper and hypotonia, and gait abnormalities. CI's comments from final evaluation: "Heather is able to maintain a full time therapist's caseload. She is above and beyond what a new graduate would be expected to maintain. She is carrying a caseload that would be expected of a new graduate/new hire who has been at the clinic for over 6 months. Heather will be a great addition to a pediatric rehabilitation team. She is eager to learn and responds well to feedback and suggestions."

Acute care clinical internship for 8 weeks at Orlando Regional Medical Center working on multiple floors with a variety of populations. Primary focus on cardiac and trauma floors, with further experience in ICU, burn unit, brain injury, and oncology wards. Gained experience with documentation in the Sunrise system and briefly with Epic, as well as evaluations and tests/measures commonly used in acute care, developing and executing plans of care, and working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to maximize patient outcomes.

Clinical internship for 8 weeks at AdventHealth Winter Park on the Inpatient Rehab floors, with a focus on neurological illnesses and injuries. Gained valuable experience with evaluations and tests and measures specific to neuro populations, developing and executing plans of care, and working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to maximize patient outcomes. Became proficient in documentation under the Cerner system. Primary population were post-stroke, but experience with TBI, oncology, orthopedics, and general post-surgery.

Eight week clinical internship in the outpatient orthopedics setting. Primary diagnoses treated were post-op ACL/knee replacements, hip replacements, rotator cuff repair, spinal fusions, as well as low back pain, thoracic outlet syndrome, frozen shoulder, and scoliosis.
