In the Office of Student Leadership and Community Engagement, I oversee our community engagement initiatives, such as alternative breaks, days of service, service scholars program, and college visit days for youth. I am the official liaison for national nonprofits that we host on campus - Jumpstart, Campus Kitchens, and Strong Women Strong Girls. I oversee student leaders, providing training on facilitation, reflection, communication, professionalism, and social justice issues. I collaborate with offices such as the Office of Community Partnerships, Career Services, Management, and Student Activities to promote community engagement across the campus. Additionally I support the recruitment of volunteers into all our programs through our web site, social media, and on campus marketing.

I oversaw all programs in the Office of Student Leadership and Community Engagement. In my Interim role, I managed the office's budget, supervised a full-time employee and part-time employee, and supervised a graduate assistant and multiple student employees. I have worked on committees such as the UMB Student Success Strategic Planning subcommittee.

As the Assistant Director of Campus-Community Partnerships and Service Learning, I managed our service learning relationships with community partners, supported faculty and student leaders, and coordinated service learning logistics such as student placements. I also co-taught the Public Service Practicum, supervised an AmeriCorps VISTA and student employees, advised our international and domestic service immersion trips, coordinated campus service assessment efforts, and assisted with strategic planning and overseeing office operations.

Providence, Rhode Island

As the Service Learning Coordinator at Providence College, I manage community partnerships for service learning courses and work with faculty from across the College, but specifically for the Department of Public and Community Service. In the Department, I co-teach our Practicum course and advise student leaders who serve our partner organizations. I also work with students on Alternative Breaks, a college access program, and other student leadership and service opportunities.
