During the annual EAA AirVenture Fly-In and Convention in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, in close coordination with the volunteer leadership of the VAA, I was part of the management team overseeing the area and it's 500+ volunteers. This includes budgeting, supervision of paid staff and volunteers, and coordination with EAA and FAA management. Other highlights of my career at EAA include:• Responsible for overseeing the $400,000+ budget of the division.• Responsible to the board of directors for the annual fund raising campaign, the "Friends of the Red Barn." • Subject matter expert for a major segment of general aviation.• Served as the VAA’s spokesperson.• One of the industry expert presenters for the National Transportation Safety Board’s 2012 Forum on General Aviation Safety.• Represented VAA and EAA on the Federal Aviation Administration’s Part 23 Process Certificationreview, and the Part 23 Advanced Rulemaking Committee.• Member of American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM)• Created content and oversaw layout for the first website of the association.• In coordination with VAA board members, I managed the construction of the Vintage Hangar.• Conceived the new name for the association after it’s prior name became obsolete, and led the team to create a new logo. -

Successful completion of the project required close cooperation of NATSF Quality Assurance Division-Pacific, squadron personnel, and Sikorsky Aircraft staff.• I co-supervised the revision of the manuals using Navy comments. Incorporation required extensive coordination of engineering, logistic support, and customer requirements to achieve program goals.• Awarded special company commendation and bonus in the winter of 1987 for work done above expectations while documenting a series of special modifications for Seahawks being modified in San Diego, CA before being sent to the Persian Gulf.• Department representative to US Navy for Seahawk Organizational level manuals.• Also served on the CH-53E Sea Stallion technical writing team: 1980-1984.
